About Me |
| My name is Margene Dengler. I am a PALS Doulas and DONA certified Doula. I am married, the mother of two grown daughters, and a grandmother. I have worked in supportive roles my entire working career. I spent most of my time in the business world, except for the few years I worked as a medical assistant. I loved helping patients in my medical assistant role and that knowledge and experience served me well in caring for my frail, elderly mother until her passing. A few years ago I started feeling that it was time for me to get back into a more soulful occupation. I was inspired to become a Doula by my daughter’s birth experience and the birth of my first grandson. I was blessed to be present at my grandson’s birth and witness my daughter’s journey into motherhood with the dedicated support of her doula. That wonderful event started me on my journey to becoming a doula. Soon after, I took my Labor Support training at Seattle Midwifery School and started working on my certification. I provide physical, emotional and informational support to the expectant mothers and their partners. I support women who choose medicated or un-medicated births; home, birth center or hospital births; vaginal or caesarean births. I help women achieve the birth experience they desire and the one that is right for them, whatever that may be. I can assist in getting breast feeding started and can provide support during the early postpartum period. I look forward to hearing from you so we can begin to plan your birth, your way. |
